A wide circular face is cut into fine rays radiating outward from a small pearl at the centre, the gaps pierced right through and the whole edged with a beaded rim. The band adjusts.
The sunburst is not engraved into a solid disc — the metal between the rays is cut away entirely, so light passes through the face and skin shows between the spokes. That is what lets a ring this wide stay light, and it is why the pattern reads crisply at a distance: each ray is outlined by an actual gap rather than by a shallow groove.
Every ray points outward from the same centre, so whatever angle the hand is held at, some part of the face is correctly positioned to catch the light — and as the hand turns, the bright zone sweeps around the disc rather than appearing and disappearing. That sweeping effect is the reason radial cuts have been used on metal for as long as metal has been decorated.
A single pearl sits where all the rays converge. It is the only solid, opaque thing on a face otherwise made of gaps, and it gives the eye a place to begin before travelling outward. Without it the centre would simply be where the piercing becomes too fine to continue.
Adjustable at the back, so no ring size is needed. The design is radial, so it cannot sit the wrong way up.
Wear it alone, hand completely bare, on the index or middle finger where there is most room. With no colour it goes with everything.
Festivals, daytime functions, parties, travel and family gatherings.
Lighter than it looks — the piercing removes most of the metal — though it is wide enough to notice when the hand closes.
This is brass given an oxidised, antique-silver finish rather than solid silver. The metal is deliberately darkened and then the raised surfaces are polished back, so the blackening stays in the recesses while the high points stay bright. That contrast is the entire point of oxidised work — it is what makes every engraved line, pierced opening and raised edge read separately instead of dissolving into one shiny surface. It also means the finish is not uniform by design, and small variations between pieces are normal rather than faults.
Put it on after perfume, hand cream and sanitiser, and take it off before washing up, swimming or sleeping. Wipe with a dry soft cloth only. Do not use silver polish, dip cleaners or toothpaste — they strip the blackening out of the recesses, which is the one kind of damage that cannot be undone on an oxidised piece. Store it dry in a pouch, away from other rings that could scratch it.
