Product Description

A round flower, built in two rings. At the centre sits a close cluster of small pink stones; around them radiate broad clear petals, each one bedded flat into a gold-tone rim so the metal shows as a bright outline between every petal. A fine beaded edge closes the circle.

Design and detail

The flat clear petals are the point of this one. Setting a pale, flat-cut stone into a thick bright rim is the signature look of kundan work, and the reason it looks different from a Western cluster ring is that the metal is doing the drawing: you see a pattern of gold lines with colour in between, rather than stones with metal hidden behind them.

It is a round, flattish ring with no points and no fringe, which makes it the most practical of the kundan designs in this range. Wear it on the index or middle finger, alone or with a plain band.

In practice

Pink at the centre of clear petals is a Jaipur combination and an unusually cheerful one. Most kundan flowers put red or green at the centre, which reads formal; pink keeps the construction and drops the ceremony, so this ends up being one of the few kundan pieces here that is easy to wear on an ordinary day.

How it fits

Fit is adjustable, which also makes it an easy gift — nobody has to be measured. Ease the band open off the hand rather than forcing it on, and set it once rather than every time you wear it.

Colours and availability

One colourway is stocked, with the pink centre shown. There is one pair available.

Metal, stones and care

American Diamond is the Indian trade name for cubic zirconia: furnace-grown, hard enough to hold a sharp facet edge, and a little more dispersive than diamond. The coloured stones beside it are glass, because glass takes a deeper shade than CZ will.

Underneath the colour it is brass. That is why it sits with some weight rather than feeling like foil, and why it holds its shape.

Delivery runs two to five working days within India from the day the order is dispatched, and five to twelve working days for international orders; Sundays are not counted. Returns follow the policy published on this site. Returns follow the policy published on this site; tell us on arrival if anything is wrong and we will sort it out.

Nothing here is hallmarked and nothing here holds resale value. What it holds is design: shapes drawn from a jewellery tradition several centuries old, made at a weight and a price that let you match a piece to one outfit without thinking twice about it. That is a perfectly good reason to buy jewellery, and it is the only claim this page makes.

The care is dull but it decides how long the colour lasts: dry hands, no perfume on the metal, a soft cloth afterwards and a sealed pouch between wearings. Payment is prepaid in every case. We do not run cash on delivery.

The most practical kundan design here — round, flattish, with no points and no fringe.
With a plain band, yes.
No. It is brass with a gold-tone plating, and it is not sold as gold. What it gives you is the colour and the weight of a far more expensive ring in something you can wear to a wedding without worrying about it.
That depends almost entirely on what it meets. Water, soap, hand sanitiser, perfume and cooking oil are what wear plating thin, so putting the ring on last and taking it off first is the whole of the maintenance.
No — glass and cubic zirconia, hand-set in the Indian manner. They are chosen for colour and for how they sit against gold tone rather than for hardness.
A dry soft cloth only. Never a dip cleaner or a metal polish: a dip will strip plating outright and polish wears it thin at exactly the raised points you want to keep bright.
Yes. The band is an open coil rather than a closed circle, so you widen or narrow it by a few millimetres with your fingers. It fits most adult sizes, roughly a UK J to a UK S.
Off the finger, gradually. Opening and closing the same band repeatedly is what tires the metal, so set it once to your finger and leave it there.
Better not. Water, soap, hand sanitiser, perfume and cooking oil are what shorten a plated ring's life. Put it on last when dressing and take it off first when washing up or bathing.
A dry soft cloth only. Never a silver dip or polish — a dip strips an oxidised finish completely and takes gold plating with it, and polish wears plating thin at the high points.
