A small round face worked in antique silver carries a green stone at its centre, set low and framed by a fine beaded rim. The band adjusts.
Almost every oxidised ring is built to be the only thing on the hand. This one is not. At roughly the width of the finger it stacks beside a plain band, sits above the knuckle as a midi ring if you want it there, and survives a working day without catching on a sleeve or a bag strap. It is the piece that makes an oxidised hand possible rather than an oxidised statement.
Green is the hardest colour to place on blackened silver, because a deep green and a dark ground sit close in tone and tend to merge at any distance. The answer used here is a bright polished bezel: the rim holding the stone is left unblackened, so there is a thin line of light between the colour and the metal around it. That line is what keeps the green reading as green rather than as a dark spot.
Scaling a design down usually means dropping detail, because fine cuts stop reading. Oxidising rescues it — blackening in the grooves keeps shallow work legible at a size where polished metal would show nothing at all.
Adjustable at the back, so no ring size is needed, and the range is wide enough to cover either a finger base or a knuckle.
Stack it, wear two, or wear it alone when you want something understated. It goes with everything from a cotton kurta to jeans.
Daily wear, office, college, travel and festivals.
Very light and flush, with the stone set low so nothing snags.
This is brass given an oxidised, antique-silver finish rather than solid silver. The metal is deliberately darkened and then the raised surfaces are polished back, so the blackening stays in the recesses while the high points stay bright. That contrast is the entire point of oxidised work — it is what makes every engraved line, pierced opening and raised edge read separately instead of dissolving into one shiny surface. It also means the finish is not uniform by design, and small variations between pieces are normal rather than faults.
Put it on after perfume, hand cream and sanitiser, and take it off before washing up, swimming or sleeping. Wipe with a dry soft cloth only. Do not use silver polish, dip cleaners or toothpaste — they strip the blackening out of the recesses, which is the one kind of damage that cannot be undone on an oxidised piece. Store it dry in a pouch, away from other rings that could scratch it.
