Pointed turquoise stones radiate as petals around a larger aqua stone at the centre, the whole face cut as a star and edged with a close border of seed pearls. The band adjusts.
The outer edge follows the points of the petals rather than enclosing them in a round rim, so the face is a star. That one decision makes the flower read as opening outward — the silhouette itself moves — where a circular border would have contained it and the same stones would have looked like a pattern inside a disc.
The petals are opaque chalky turquoise and the centre is a clearer, brighter aqua. Using two shades from the same family rather than one gives the face depth without introducing a second colour: the eye reads the lighter centre as nearer and the matte petals as further back, so a flat ring acquires an apparent middle.
Seed pearls follow the star outline, which is more work than edging a circle because the border has to turn at every point. They soften what would otherwise be a sharply spiky silhouette, and give the piece a warm outer ring against the cool blues inside.
Adjustable at the back, so no ring size is needed. The star is symmetrical, so orientation does not matter.
Wear it alone with the hand bare. Turquoise suits white, indigo, teal and ivory, and anything with mirror work.
Festivals, weddings, daytime functions, travel and family gatherings.
Moderate. The pearl edge and raised stones stand proud, so take it off before anything rough.
This is brass given an oxidised, antique-silver finish rather than solid silver. The metal is deliberately darkened and then the raised surfaces are polished back, so the blackening stays in the recesses while the high points stay bright. That contrast is the entire point of oxidised work — it is what makes every engraved line, pierced opening and raised edge read separately instead of dissolving into one shiny surface. It also means the finish is not uniform by design, and small variations between pieces are normal rather than faults.
Put it on after perfume, hand cream and sanitiser, and take it off before washing up, swimming or sleeping. Wipe with a dry soft cloth only. Do not use silver polish, dip cleaners or toothpaste — they strip the blackening out of the recesses, which is the one kind of damage that cannot be undone on an oxidised piece. Store it dry in a pouch, away from other rings that could scratch it.
