A large round black stone fills most of the face, held in a worked silver mount with a small floral crest sitting above it at the upper edge. The band adjusts.
A black stone on blackened silver gives up colour contrast entirely, which sounds like a mistake and is not. The two are read by surface instead: the stone is smooth, domed and reflective where the metal is matte, flat and textured, so the eye separates them by how light behaves rather than by hue. The result is the most monochrome piece in the range and the only large statement ring here that will not argue with black or charcoal clothing.
A small worked floral crest sits at the top of the mount rather than around it. Placing a detail at one edge instead of ringing the whole stone gives the ring a definite top, which a plain round setting would not have — and it keeps the rest of the border clean so the stone's outline stays unbroken.
The stone occupies most of the available face, which means the metalwork has retreated into a supporting role. That is an inversion of how most of this collection works, where the silver carries the design and any stone is an accent. Here the silver is structure and the stone is the subject.
Adjustable at the back, so no ring size is needed. The crest marks the top, so sit it upward.
Wear it alone with the hand bare. It suits black, charcoal, grey, white and indigo, and works with Western clothing as readily as a kurta.
Parties, evenings, daily wear, office and travel.
Moderate. The stone stands proud of the finger, so it is better as an occasion ring than an all-day one.
This is brass given an oxidised, antique-silver finish rather than solid silver. The metal is deliberately darkened and then the raised surfaces are polished back, so the blackening stays in the recesses while the high points stay bright. That contrast is the entire point of oxidised work — it is what makes every engraved line, pierced opening and raised edge read separately instead of dissolving into one shiny surface. It also means the finish is not uniform by design, and small variations between pieces are normal rather than faults.
Put it on after perfume, hand cream and sanitiser, and take it off before washing up, swimming or sleeping. Wipe with a dry soft cloth only. Do not use silver polish, dip cleaners or toothpaste — they strip the blackening out of the recesses, which is the one kind of damage that cannot be undone on an oxidised piece. Store it dry in a pouch, away from other rings that could scratch it.
