A round silver face is worked outward in concentric rings, set with small blue stones through the pattern, and finished with a row of pearls hanging from the lower edge. The band adjusts.
The blue stones are not concentrated at the centre but distributed around the rings of the mandala, which changes how the face is read. Instead of a bright middle with decoration around it, the colour forms its own circle inside the design — so the eye travels around the ring rather than landing in the middle and stopping. On a concentric design that circular movement is exactly the intent.
Blue is cool and blackened silver is cool, so unlike red they do not fight; but blue is considerably lighter in tone than the metal, so it still separates clearly. That combination — same temperature, different brightness — is what lets the stones be scattered through a busy pattern without the face becoming confused.
Pearls hang from the lower rim, adding movement a rigid ring cannot otherwise have and giving the circular face a definite bottom. A mandala has no orientation of its own; the drops supply one.
Adjustable at the back, so no ring size is needed. Sit it with the pearls hanging downward.
Wear it alone with the hand bare. It suits indigo, white, grey, ivory and handloom, and pairs with silver-toned earrings rather than gold.
Festivals, weddings, daytime functions, family gatherings and parties.
Light for the size, though the pearls hang below the face, so take it off before anything hands-on.
This is brass given an oxidised, antique-silver finish rather than solid silver. The metal is deliberately darkened and then the raised surfaces are polished back, so the blackening stays in the recesses while the high points stay bright. That contrast is the entire point of oxidised work — it is what makes every engraved line, pierced opening and raised edge read separately instead of dissolving into one shiny surface. It also means the finish is not uniform by design, and small variations between pieces are normal rather than faults.
Put it on after perfume, hand cream and sanitiser, and take it off before washing up, swimming or sleeping. Wipe with a dry soft cloth only. Do not use silver polish, dip cleaners or toothpaste — they strip the blackening out of the recesses, which is the one kind of damage that cannot be undone on an oxidised piece. Store it dry in a pouch, away from other rings that could scratch it.
