Six pointed white stones are set as petals around a small centre, each in its own silver bezel, on an oxidised adjustable band.
Rather than carving petals in metal and putting a stone in the middle, this reverses the arrangement: the stones are the petals, each one cut to a pointed oval and set in its own collet. The metal is reduced to the frame holding them. That is the kundan approach — stones shaped to fill the design rather than dropped into spaces left for them — and it is what makes the flower read as almost entirely white rather than as silver with white accents.
Clear and white stones are the strongest possible contrast against an oxidised ground, far stronger than turquoise or red, because the difference is in brightness rather than hue. There is nothing for the eye to compare — the metal is as dark as it gets and the stones are as light. On a small face that contrast does all the work, which is why no other colour is used anywhere on the piece.
Adjustable at the back, so no ring size is needed. Ease it open with both hands and set it once.
White goes with everything, which makes this one of the easier stone-set oxidised rings to wear. It suits white, ivory, black, indigo and any strong colour, and works with Western clothing as readily as a kurta. Wear it alone or with one plain band.
Festivals, parties, daytime functions, daily wear and weddings.
Light, with the stones set in low collets so nothing stands far from the finger.
This is brass given an oxidised, antique-silver finish rather than solid silver. The metal is deliberately darkened and then the raised surfaces are polished back, so the blackening stays in the recesses while the high points stay bright. That contrast is the entire point of oxidised work — it is what makes every engraved line, pierced opening and raised edge read separately instead of dissolving into one shiny surface. It also means the finish is not uniform by design, and small variations between pieces are normal rather than faults.
Put it on after perfume, hand cream and sanitiser, and take it off before washing up, swimming or sleeping. Wipe with a dry soft cloth only. Do not use silver polish, dip cleaners or toothpaste — they strip the blackening out of the recesses, which is the one kind of damage that cannot be undone on an oxidised piece. Store it dry in a pouch, away from other rings that could scratch it.
