A flower of broad ribbed petals opens across the finger with a smooth polished dome at its centre — metal, not a stone. The band adjusts.
Putting a polished dome at the centre of a flower rather than setting a stone is an old solution and a practical one. It gives the eye the bright focal point a stone provides, but it cannot chip, cannot work loose from its setting and cannot be lost — the three things that actually go wrong with stone-set rings in daily wear. On a ring meant to be worn hard rather than kept for occasions, it is simply the better construction.
Each petal is cut with fine parallel ribs running from the centre outward, which does two things at once: it gives the blackening somewhere to sit so the petals separate clearly, and it makes every petal catch light along its length rather than as one flat facet. The contrast between those textured petals and the smooth centre is what carries the design, with no colour involved at all.
Adjustable at the back, so no ring size is needed. Ease it open with both hands and set it once.
With no colour anywhere it goes with everything, which makes it a sensible pick if you want one oxidised floral ring rather than several. Wear it alone, or with one plain narrow band.
Daily wear, office, festivals, college and travel.
Light, and the domed centre is rounded and sits low, so nothing catches.
This is brass given an oxidised, antique-silver finish rather than solid silver. The metal is deliberately darkened and then the raised surfaces are polished back, so the blackening stays in the recesses while the high points stay bright. That contrast is the entire point of oxidised work — it is what makes every engraved line, pierced opening and raised edge read separately instead of dissolving into one shiny surface. It also means the finish is not uniform by design, and small variations between pieces are normal rather than faults.
Put it on after perfume, hand cream and sanitiser, and take it off before washing up, swimming or sleeping. Wipe with a dry soft cloth only. Do not use silver polish, dip cleaners or toothpaste — they strip the blackening out of the recesses, which is the one kind of damage that cannot be undone on an oxidised piece. Store it dry in a pouch, away from other rings that could scratch it.
