A flower worked in antique silver carries a black stone at its centre, the petals cut and blackened around it. The band adjusts.
A black stone is not the absence of colour — it behaves like a very dark colour that happens to reflect. Against blackened silver it produces the most monochrome piece in the range, and because both elements are dark the ring reads by texture alone: matte worked metal against one smooth reflective surface. That makes it the most understated stone-set ring here and the easiest to wear with black and charcoal, where any colour would announce itself.
Practically, a black stone removes the matching problem entirely. A turquoise or red ring has to agree with what you are wearing; this one cannot clash with anything, which is why it works as well with Western office clothing as with a kurta. For a single stone-set ring worn often, that is a real argument.
Adjustable at the back, so no ring size is needed. Ease it open with both hands and set it once.
Wear it alone or with a plain narrow band. It suits black, charcoal, grey, white and indigo, and is the oxidised ring most at home in an office.
Parties, evenings, office, daily wear and travel.
Light, with the stone sitting close to the finger.
This is brass given an oxidised, antique-silver finish rather than solid silver. The metal is deliberately darkened and then the raised surfaces are polished back, so the blackening stays in the recesses while the high points stay bright. That contrast is the entire point of oxidised work — it is what makes every engraved line, pierced opening and raised edge read separately instead of dissolving into one shiny surface. It also means the finish is not uniform by design, and small variations between pieces are normal rather than faults.
Put it on after perfume, hand cream and sanitiser, and take it off before washing up, swimming or sleeping. Wipe with a dry soft cloth only. Do not use silver polish, dip cleaners or toothpaste — they strip the blackening out of the recesses, which is the one kind of damage that cannot be undone on an oxidised piece. Store it dry in a pouch, away from other rings that could scratch it.
Type: Adjustable floral ring. Metal: Brass. Finish: Oxidised antique silver tone. Work: Worked petals around a bezel-set black stone. Fit: Adjustable, open band.
Oxidised pieces suit cotton, linen and handloom far better than they suit synthetics or heavy silk. The finish is matte and slightly grey, so it sits with natural fabric and against skin tones in daylight; next to a bright zari border it can read as dull rather than as deliberate.
Nothing here is hallmarked and none of it carries resale value, and both facts are stated plainly rather than buried. What you are buying is the design and the finish at a price that lets you match a piece to one outfit without weighing up the cost.
