A large ॐ is formed in oxidised silver with a trishul rising behind it, the whole piece long enough to span two fingers. The band adjusts.
Most Om jewellery shrinks the symbol to fit a pendant or a small ring face, and something is lost — ॐ is a complex glyph with a curve, a loop, a crescent and a dot, and at small scale those elements merge. Running it across two fingers gives it the room it needs: every stroke stays separate, the crescent and bindu sit clear above the body, and the symbol reads as writing rather than as an abstract squiggle.
Spanning two fingers is not only about size. It turns the ring into a line crossing the back of the hand rather than an object sitting on one finger, so it is read as a whole span — far more noticeable than a single ring of the same weight, because it occupies space that is normally empty. The trishul rising behind the ॐ extends that line upward and gives the piece its height.
Shiva's trident, its three points standing for creation, preservation and dissolution. Pairing it with ॐ is a common combination in devotional jewellery, since the syllable and the trident both belong to the same tradition and reinforce rather than compete with each other.
Adjustable, so no sizes are needed. Fit it across two adjacent fingers and let it settle rather than forcing the span wider; open it gently with both thumbs so the two openings move together.
Wear it alone — the hand needs nothing else at all. It suits handloom, cotton and kurta-style dressing, works for men and women equally, and is a natural choice for Mahashivratri and temple visits.
Mahashivratri, festivals, temple visits, daily wear and travel.
Light for its size, but it does link two fingers, so take it off for anything that needs free hands.
This is brass given an oxidised, antique-silver finish rather than solid silver. The metal is deliberately darkened and then the raised surfaces are polished back, so the blackening stays in the recesses while the high points stay bright. That contrast is the entire point of oxidised work — it is what makes every engraved line, pierced opening and raised edge read separately instead of dissolving into one shiny surface. It also means the finish is not uniform by design, and small variations between pieces are normal rather than faults.
Put it on after perfume, hand cream and sanitiser, and take it off before washing up, swimming or sleeping. Wipe with a dry soft cloth only. Do not use silver polish, dip cleaners or toothpaste — they strip the blackening out of the recesses, which is the one kind of damage that cannot be undone on an oxidised piece. Store it dry in a pouch, away from other rings that could scratch it.
