A large circular face is worked outward from a raised centre in successive rings of pattern, the whole blackened so each ring separates. The band adjusts.
A mandala is designed to be read from the centre outward, and that is not a mystical claim — it is how the pattern is constructed, each ring sized and spaced relative to the one inside it. The consequence for a ring is practical: the design gets more complex as it goes out, so the busiest, most detailed part sits at the rim where it is seen first and the quietest part is at the centre where the eye finishes. That is the reverse of how a stone-set ring works.
The same mandala at a smaller size reads as a texture — you see a patterned circle. At this size the individual rings separate and you see the structure, which is why large mandala pieces feel architectural while small ones feel decorative. It is one of the few designs where making it bigger changes what it is rather than just how loud it is.
Adjustable at the back, so no ring size is needed. Ease it open with both hands and set it once.
Wear it alone, hand completely bare, on the index or middle finger where there is most room. With no colour it goes with everything.
Festivals, daytime functions, parties, travel and family gatherings.
Light for the size, though wide enough to be noticeable when the hand closes.
This is brass given an oxidised, antique-silver finish rather than solid silver. The metal is deliberately darkened and then the raised surfaces are polished back, so the blackening stays in the recesses while the high points stay bright. That contrast is the entire point of oxidised work — it is what makes every engraved line, pierced opening and raised edge read separately instead of dissolving into one shiny surface. It also means the finish is not uniform by design, and small variations between pieces are normal rather than faults.
Put it on after perfume, hand cream and sanitiser, and take it off before washing up, swimming or sleeping. Wipe with a dry soft cloth only. Do not use silver polish, dip cleaners or toothpaste — they strip the blackening out of the recesses, which is the one kind of damage that cannot be undone on an oxidised piece. Store it dry in a pouch, away from other rings that could scratch it.
