The marigold is the flower of Indian celebration. It hangs over doorways at Diwali, it is strung into garlands for weddings, and it is offered at temples every morning of the year. This ring takes that bloom and builds it in metal — rows of narrow petals layered over one another, each one textured along its length, radiating out from a raised centre.
Most floral rings are flat: a stamped outline of a flower lying against the finger. This one is built in tiers. The outer petals sit low and spread wide, the inner rows lift progressively higher, and the centre stands proudest of all. That layering is what makes the bloom read as a real flower from across a room rather than as a symbol of one, and it is why the ring throws shadow as well as light.
Each petal carries fine lengthwise texture, which breaks up the reflection so the flower glows softly instead of flashing. The petal tips are rounded rather than pointed, so nothing catches on silk or chiffon. Underneath, the shank narrows to a plain band and the construction is kept open, which is how a bloom of this size still comes in at around four grams. Leafy detail runs down either side of the shank where it meets the flower, so the design resolves properly instead of stopping abruptly.
This belongs on the index or middle finger with the rest of the hand left bare. It is made for festival dressing — Diwali, Karva Chauth, Navratri, weddings — and it sits naturally with silk, brocade and anything with zari in the weave. Pair it with jhumkas or chandbalis and skip the bracelet; the ring is doing enough. For a modern look, wear it against plain black and let the contrast carry it.
Layered floral designs are the hardest shape for plating to survive, because every petal creates a shadowed hollow underneath that no cloth will ever reach. On ordinary fashion jewellery those hollows go dark within a season and the flower loses its depth, ending up looking like a flat grey rosette. The stainless steel core and anti-tarnish gold plating used here are what keep the petals separated and warm.
The ring is made with an adjustable fit that settles on most finger sizes without a measured size. The bloom sits high, so seat it squarely on top of the finger when you put it on.
Clean it with a dry soft brush, working from the centre outward so dust is pushed off the flower rather than into it. Put the ring on after perfume and hair products. Store it in its pouch, and remove it before swimming, bathing or cooking.
