A Brand of Keyura
This small AD haar for 5-7 No. Laddu Gopal idols measures 4 inches in height and is made for everyday dressing rather than a single festival. Many devotees own one heavy necklace and nothing light, and then find it awkward to dress Thakur Ji on an ordinary morning. This is the piece that fills that gap.
At 4 inches the haar covers the chest without overwhelming a small idol. The AD stones give it enough brightness for an evening aarti, while the lighter construction means it can be put on and taken off daily without the strain that a heavy temple necklace puts on both the piece and the idol.
Stones are set along the body of the haar with a simple drop at the centre, so the shape reads clearly even at a small scale. The stringing is kept flexible enough to follow the curve of the chest rather than standing away from it. The fastening is small and easy to manage with one hand while the other holds the idol steady.
Made for 5, 6 and 7 No. idols at 4 inches in height. For a haar, length matters more than neck width: too long and it pools in the lap of a seated idol, too short and it rides up at the throat. If your idol sits at the smaller end of that range, this length will fall slightly longer, which most devotees prefer.
This haar is the everyday workhorse. Wear it alone over a cotton or woolen poshak through the week, and add a choker above it or a mukut for festivals. Because it is light, it also suits a smaller idol that a heavy temple necklace would overwhelm.
Daily seva, morning and evening aarti, Thursday darshan, and as a practical second necklace for devotees who already own one heavy festival piece.
Wipe with a dry soft cloth and keep it away from water, which dulls AD stones and weakens the settings over time. Store it flat rather than coiled so the stringing does not twist, and keep it apart from heavier jewellery.
