A Brand of Keyura
Most devotees build a Laddu Gopal shringar one piece at a time, and end up with a mukut from one seller, a haar from another and bangles that never quite match either. This is the alternative: a complete jewellery set for five to six number Laddu Gopal, made as one range so every piece shares the same stone colour, the same gold tone and the same finish.
A full set means the shringar is finished in a single step. The mukut crowns the idol, the haar sits at the chest, and the smaller pieces complete the hands, waist and feet. Because the whole set is made together, the stone sizes are graded in proportion across the pieces rather than each item being set to its own standard. That proportion is the thing people cannot name when they look at a well dressed Thakur Ji and feel that something is right about it.
The stones are American Diamond, cup set and hand closed throughout. Nothing in the set is surface glued. This is the single biggest difference between a set bought for daily seva and one bought as a one-off gift, because glued work survives a photograph but not six months of being dressed and undressed every morning.
Five to six number is the standard Braj sizing used for Laddu Gopal poshak. If you already buy dresses by number, order the same number here. If not, measure your idol from base to head and send the measurement on WhatsApp and we will confirm before you order. A set one number out cannot be adjusted, since every piece is cut to the same sizing.
Store the set laid out in a shringar box with the pieces separated, never stacked, because the heavier haar will press on the mukut finial and bend it. Dry cotton cloth only. Never use water, silver polish or toothpaste on any piece in the set.
Priced as a complete set below the cost of buying the same pieces individually, which is the main reason devotees setting up a new mandir start here.
A tall setting looks impressive and catches on everything. If you want a ring for daily wear, the flat and low ones are the ones that survive; keep the raised and fringed designs for occasions where your hands are not doing much.
Costume jewellery earns its place by letting you wear a shape you would never commission in precious metal. The designs here come out of a tradition centuries old; the materials do not pretend to, and we do not describe them as though they did.
