The size number on deity shringar describes the idol it is made for, not the ornament itself. Thakur Ji idols come in a numbered series from the smallest upward, and each number has its own crown and necklace proportions. Buyers usually know their idol's number; if yours came without one, measure its height and send that with your enquiry and we will tell you which number fits.
AD in these listings is American Diamond, the Indian trade name for cubic zirconia: a crystal grown in a furnace, cut on the same wheels as diamond and hard enough to hold a sharp facet. On shringar it is the right stone precisely because it is bright under the low, warm light of a home mandir, where a softer stone would go flat.
Shringar changes with the season and the festival in many households: lighter sets for summer, richer ones for Janmashtami and Diwali, and often a particular colour kept for a particular day.
It makes a straightforward present for a household that keeps Thakur Ji, provided the size is right. If you are unsure, ask the recipient for the idol number rather than guessing from a photograph.
Oil, ghee and incense residue are what dull deity ornaments fastest, far more than handling does. Remove the shringar before snan or abhishek, keep it clear of the lamp, and wipe it down with a dry soft cloth before storing it closed.
Nothing here is gold, silver or a precious stone, and none of it is described as such. It is plated brass with zari and American Diamond, made to look right in a mandir at a price that lets a household own more than one set.
Payment is prepaid in every case. We do not run cash on delivery.
