Shringar sizing works backwards from the idol: find your Thakur Ji's number first, then buy to it. Families who inherited an idol often do not know the number, in which case the height from base to crown is enough for us to work it out on the enquiry.
The stones are American Diamond — cubic zirconia — rather than glass. The difference shows in a mandir: a grown crystal keeps its fire under a diya or a small lamp, while paste tends to look dull once it is away from daylight.
Changing Thakur Ji's shringar is ordinary household practice, not a festival-only event. Most families keep a simple set for everyday and something richer for Janmashtami, and the everyday set is the one that wears out.
Shringar is given as a gift at Janmashtami and at a griha pravesh, and it is an easy one to give — provided you know the recipient's idol number. If you do not, ask; it is a short question and it saves an exchange.
Keep it away from water and from abhishek entirely — take the shringar off before bathing the idol, never after. Wipe it with a dry cloth, let it air before it goes away, and store it in a pouch rather than loose in the mandir where incense ash and oil will settle on it.
Delivery runs two to five working days within India from the day the order is dispatched, and five to twelve working days for international orders; Sundays are not counted. Returns follow the policy published on this site.
Keyura takes prepaid payment only, with no cash-on-delivery anywhere on the site.
