Laddu Gopal shringar is sold by number rather than by measurement, and the number refers to the idol, not to the ornament. Idol makers cast Thakur Ji in a graded series — No. 1 upward — and every mukut, haar and poshak is cut to one of those grades. If you already know your Laddu Gopal's number, match it. If you do not, measure the idol from the base to the top of the head and ask before ordering; we would rather check than have something arrive that will not sit.
The stones are American Diamond — cubic zirconia — rather than glass. The difference shows in a mandir: a grown crystal keeps its fire under a diya or a small lamp, while paste tends to look dull once it is away from daylight.
A deity is dressed after bathing and drying, every morning in most homes. Over a year that is several hundred handlings, which is far more than any piece of worn jewellery gets — and the reason fastenings matter more than finish on shringar.
It makes a straightforward present for a household that keeps Thakur Ji, provided the size is right. If you are unsure, ask the recipient for the idol number rather than guessing from a photograph.
Keep it clear of the lamp and the agarbatti. Soot settles invisibly on a plated surface and dulls it within weeks, which is usually blamed on quality when the cause is placement.
Deity ornaments are handled more often than worn jewellery, because the idol is bathed and dressed each day. Pieces that fasten simply get used; fiddly ones stay in the box.
Delivery runs two to five working days within India from the day the order is dispatched, and five to twelve working days for international orders; Sundays are not counted. Returns follow the policy published on this site.
