Choosing the right size
Every Laddu Gopal ornament is cut to an idol number rather than to a measurement in inches. The series runs from the smallest upward and is standard across most workshops, so a No. 3 mukut will sit on almost any No. 3 Thakur Ji. Where idols differ slightly between makers, a crown is the piece most likely to show it — ask if yours is borderline.
About the stones and the zari
AD stones set into a zari ground is the standard combination for deity ornaments: the thread supplies warmth and a little give, the stones supply the light. Neither is precious, and nothing here is sold as gold or as a gemstone.
Shringar in practice
Changing Thakur Ji's shringar is ordinary household practice, not a festival-only event. Most families keep a simple set for everyday and something richer for Janmashtami, and the everyday set is the one that wears out.
Giving shringar is a traditional gesture at Janmashtami and at a new home. The one thing to establish first is the idol number; everything else is a matter of taste.
Looking after it
Keep it clear of the lamp and the agarbatti. Soot settles invisibly on a plated surface and dulls it within weeks, which is usually blamed on quality when the cause is placement.
Keyura is prepaid only — there is no cash on delivery on any order.
