A pair of ear pins in oxidised German silver over brass, with no stones at all — the design is entirely in the metal. Each piece is a single cut feather. They measure about 1 inch.
These are ear pins rather than conventional earrings: a long straight stem passes through the piercing and the ornament sweeps up along the line of the ear, so the design sits on the ear rather than hanging from it.
Each piece is a single feather, the barbs cut individually and fanned, which is the whole design — no stones, nothing added.
There are no stones at all. The piece relies entirely on the metalwork, which is a harder thing to carry off and the reason it is worth looking at closely.
The pin behind the feather is long and straight, and it is what holds the piece upright along the ear.
The finish is matte rather than bright, so the piece reads as old silver rather than as new metal.
The metal is brass with a German silver finish. German silver contains no silver at all — it is an alloy of copper, nickel and zinc that happens to be silver-white, and it has been used for Indian tribal and oxidised jewellery for well over a century because it takes a blackening beautifully.

An ear pin is worn through an ordinary lobe piercing, but the ornament sweeps upward along the ear rather than hanging. Slide the pin through from the front and let the feather settle against the curve of the ear.
A note on what this is not: it is not hallmarked, it is not precious metal, and it has no resale value. Keyura sells it as what it is — a well-made plated piece with good stones, priced accordingly and described without the word gold doing any work it has not earned.
Treat the finish as the wearing part. Keep it away from water, perfume and hair spray, put the earrings on after you have finished dressing, and wipe them with a dry cotton cloth before they go away. Stored dry in a zip pouch with the air pressed out, the finish lasts for years; left in a humid bathroom it will not last a season.
