A soft pink enamelled square, its surface marbled rather than flat, sits framed in clear kundan at the lobe. Below hangs a bell striped in coral and pink enamel with kundan set between the panels, finished with a fringe of faceted pink drops.
Available in 4 colours: Baby Pink, Sky Blue, Peach and Green. The colour refers to the enamel throughout.
The marbled surface of the top panel is what sets these apart. Rather than a single flat colour, the enamel is worked so that lighter and deeper pinks run through it, which gives the stone-sized panel a depth closer to a natural material than a manufactured one.
Pairing that with the sharply striped bell below is a deliberate contrast — soft and blended above, crisp and geometric underneath. A design using the same treatment in both places would have been much flatter.
Alternating panels of coral and pink enamel run from crown to rim, each separated by a line of gold and punctuated with small clear kundan stones. The effect is closer to a painted dome than a metal one.
Faceted pink drops hang around the rim, translucent so they glow rather than flash. Keeping the fringe in the same colour family as the enamel is what holds the whole earring together as one piece.
Post fitting, hollow bell, moderate weight for a piece of this size. Comfortable through a function.
Pastel lehengas, ivory and cream silks, and anything worn for a daytime ceremony where a deep red and gold pair would look heavy. They also work beautifully against grey and dusty blue. Hair up, simple necklace.
Traditional bridal jewellery was designed for evening light, where deep reds and golds glow under lamps. A great deal of modern wedding celebration happens outdoors and during the day, and the same pieces can look heavy under direct sun. Pastel enamel behaves the opposite way: soft colours that look understated indoors come alive in daylight, and they photograph without the harsh contrast that deep stones produce. If your event is a mehendi, a morning ceremony or a lunch, a pastel pair is usually the better choice.
Enamel of this quality is also unusually stable over time. Unlike plated colour or painted finishes, fired enamel does not fade in sunlight and does not react with perfume or perspiration, so a pastel pair will look the same in five years as it does today. The only real precaution is against impact, which is why storing them apart from metal chains matters more than any cleaning routine.
Keep them in their own pouch so the enamel is not chipped. Put them on after perfume and hairspray, wipe with a dry soft cloth, and keep them away from water.
