The whole earring is drawn as a single line. A long silver hook sweeps down and curves back up into a peacock's head and raised crest, and from the base of that curve hang two stacked fluted bells, one inside the other. There are no stones anywhere. The shape is the design.
Available in Silver — the oxidised antique finish.
Stoneless silver at this scale is confident in a way that stone set jewellery rarely is. There is nothing to distract the eye, so everything depends on the line being right — and here it is. The long curve of the hook leads directly into the peacock's head, and the bells hang exactly where the curve ends, so the earring balances visually instead of looking bottom heavy.
They also age extremely well. With no stones, no pearls and no enamel, there is nothing that can loosen, cloud or discolour. Oxidised silver simply deepens with time, which suits a sculptural design like this.
The bird is reduced to essentials — the curve of the neck, the head in profile, and a small raised crest. That restraint is what stops the design tipping into decoration. You read it as a peacock immediately, but it stays a clean silhouette rather than a detailed figure.
Two fluted bells hang at the bottom, the smaller nested above the larger. Each is shaped in deep vertical flutes so that light runs down the ridges and shadow collects between them. They swing gently and independently, which gives the earring movement despite having no fringe at all.
Plain fabrics let the silhouette read: a solid cotton or linen kurta, a handloom saree, a black top and jeans. Because they are stoneless, they are genuinely versatile — as comfortable at the office as at a Navratri evening. Hair tied back, and keep the rest of your jewellery to plain silver.
Stoneless jewellery asks more of its design, because there is no colour to carry it. Everything depends on proportion and line, which means a plain silver piece is either very good or immediately dull. The advantage, when it works, is enormous flexibility. There is no stone colour to coordinate with your outfit, nothing that dates as stone fashions change, and nothing fragile in the construction. A sculptural silver earring like this can be worn with a saree in October and with a plain shirt in March without ever looking like it was borrowed from another wardrobe.
Keep them in a zip lock pouch between wears, put them on after perfume, wipe with a dry soft cloth, and keep them away from water. The oxidised finish deepens naturally with age.
