A length of brushed gold bends into an open horseshoe, and three stones are set along it — a round one at the top, a small faceted one near the opening, and a large teardrop at the lower curve. Available in Grey, Blue, Green, Yellow, Black, Red, Aqua and Mint.
Using three stones of different shapes and sizes on one small earring is a deliberately contemporary move. Traditional jewellery repeats a cut; this scatters three, and the eye reads them as a sequence rather than a pattern. Combined with the open horseshoe, which is itself an incomplete shape, the result is an earring that feels unresolved in a way that holds attention.
The metal is brushed rather than polished, giving a soft matte surface that lets the stones carry all the brightness. The horseshoe is open at the bottom with the two ends finishing cleanly rather than tapering. The round stone sits at the apex, a small faceted stone near one end, and the teardrop cabochon at the opposite lower curve, so the weight of the composition is diagonal rather than balanced.
The three stones share the chosen colour family. Grey and Black are the most contemporary. Green and Red are the warmest. Blue, Aqua, Mint and Yellow are the lighter options.
Plain, modern clothing — shirts, linen, solid dresses, minimal kurtas. The brushed finish and asymmetric composition look wrong against heavy traditional work. They sit close to the ear so they work with hair up or down and under a collar.
Casual wear, office, daytime outings and evenings.
Light and compact. The horseshoe is small, the stones are flat-backed, and nothing hangs below the ear.
This piece is brass finished with a gold-tone plating rather than solid gold, which is what keeps the price where it is and the weight low enough for comfortable wear. Plating is a surface rather than a bulk property, so how long it lasts depends almost entirely on what it is exposed to. Perfume, hairspray, sweat, soap and chlorinated water all shorten its life; a dry cloth after wearing and a closed pouch between wearings extend it considerably. Treated sensibly, the colour holds for a long time.
Put these on after perfume, hairspray and foundation. Wipe with a dry soft cloth after wearing and use a dry soft brush around the stone settings and into any textured areas. Store them in a pouch rather than loose in a box, and never use toothpaste, bleach or an ultrasonic cleaner.
