Product Description

These mint meenakari jhumka earrings use enamel rather than stones for most of their colour. The bell and the crescent above it are filled with soft mint green meenakari work, set off by rows of white kundan, and a double fringe of faceted mint beads hangs below.

Design Details

The top is a crescent of white kundan stones with mint enamel filling the spaces between them, in the style of traditional Jaipur meenakari where the enamel is fired into the metal rather than painted on.

The bell below is open-sided, its frame divided into panels that hold clear stones, with mint enamel on the ribs between. From the rim hang two rows of faceted beads in the same mint shade, larger than the usual seed beads, which gives the fringe real presence despite the earring's light weight.

Product Highlights

  • Soft mint meenakari enamel work
  • White kundan crescent and panels
  • Open-sided jhumka bell
  • Double fringe of faceted mint beads
  • Gold-tone finish

Styling Suggestions

Mint is a daytime colour, so these suit haldi, mehendi and daytime receptions particularly well. Wear them with an ivory, white, powder blue or pale yellow outfit and let the mint be the accent.

They also lift a plain white chikankari kurta on an ordinary day, which is not something you can say about most festive jhumkas.

Perfect For

  • Haldi, mehendi and daytime functions
  • Festivals and family gatherings
  • Pastel, ivory and chikankari outfits
  • Everyday ethnic wear with a lift
  • Affordable festive gifting

Fit and Comfort

The open-sided bell keeps these very light for their size, and the bead fringe adds movement rather than load. The crescent sits flat against the lobe so the jhumka hangs straight, and at this weight they are comfortable through a full day.

Why This One Sells Out

Meenakari enamel is fired by hand, so batches are small and the exact shade of mint shifts a little between runs. Pastel colours are also produced in far smaller quantities than red and green, which makes this one of the harder designs to restock once a season's stock is gone.

Care Instructions

Enamel lasts longest away from water, perfume and cleaning chemicals, so take these off before washing up or bathing. Wipe them with a soft dry cloth rather than a polishing cloth, which can scratch enamel, and store them upright so the bead fringe hangs straight.

A jhumka in a pastel shade is also a useful counterweight to heavier bridal jewellery: worn on the days between functions, it keeps the look festive without repeating the same red and gold seen in the main ceremony photographs.
