A broad crescent in soft mint enamel, inlaid with clear kundan stones and fine gold scrollwork, hangs from a round enamelled stud in the same colour. A dense fringe of small white pearls runs the full length of the lower curve.
Available in 11 colours: Pastel Yellow, Grey, Light Green, Sky Blue, Red, Pink, Peach, Baby Pink, Black and Pista Green. The colour refers to the enamel on the crescent and the stud.
Mint enamel against gold is a quiet, slightly unexpected combination, and it is what makes these feel contemporary despite an entirely traditional construction. The pale ground also makes the clear kundan stones stand out far more than they would against a deep colour, so the stonework reads clearly rather than disappearing.
White pearls complete the palette. Mint, gold and white is soft enough for daylight and rich enough for a function, which is a harder balance to strike than it sounds.
The enamel is fired into the metal first, then the kundan stones are seated into it, each with its raised gold outline. Fine gold scrollwork is worked around the stones, so the pale enamel ground is broken up rather than left as a flat field.
Small pearls hang closely together around the whole curve, giving a continuous soft edge. Against a pale enamel, white pearls read as a texture rather than a contrast, which keeps the earring calm.
Post fitting. The crescent is wide but the construction is light, so they are comfortable across a long function.
Pastel and ivory lehengas, cream silks, and anything for a daytime ceremony. They also look striking against a deep contrast such as bottle green or navy, where the mint stands out sharply. Hair back, short necklace.
With this many options, the useful question is not which colour is prettiest but which gap in your collection it fills. Most people already own red and gold festive jewellery, so a second pair in the same palette adds little. The pale options here — Pastel Yellow, Light Green, Baby Pink, Grey — cover daytime events that deep colours handle badly, while Black is the one that works with western evening wear. Choosing for the occasions you actually attend will get far more wear out of a pair than choosing for the photograph.
Store them in their own pouch so the enamel is not chipped and the pearls not scratched. Put them on after perfume and hairspray, and keep them away from water.
