A fine hook, a long straight bar dropping from it, and at the bottom a half-moon shape with a rectangular stone set into its flat edge and a single round bead hanging below. Available in Baby Pink, Red, Yellow, Mint, Blue, Black, Green, Black Grey and Aqua.
This design is unusually spare: one line, one shape, one stone. What makes it work is that each element is a different visual weight — the bar is thin and invisible from the side, the half-moon is a solid block, and the bead is a tiny full stop. The eye descends through decreasing detail, which is a deliberately quiet way to build an earring and the opposite of how traditional Indian jewellery is usually composed.
The half-moon is flat rather than domed, with its straight edge uppermost and the curve below, so it reads as a shape rather than as a bowl. The stone is rectangular and set flush into the straight edge, which is the detail that keeps the two forms from looking merely stacked. The bar above is plain and rigid. Below the curve, a single small bead hangs on a short link and provides the only movement in the whole piece.
Black Grey is a two-tone option and the most contemporary. Black and Grey-adjacent tones suit western clothing. Red and Green read traditional. Baby Pink, Mint, Yellow, Blue and Aqua are the softer choices. The stone is small, so the colour is an accent rather than the subject.
Modern clothing and plain backgrounds. These are excellent with shirts, plain dresses and co-ord sets, and they suit a solid-colour kurta, but they are too spare to hold up against heavy traditional work. Hair up shows the full drop.

This piece is brass finished with a gold-tone plating rather than solid gold, which is what keeps the price where it is and the weight low enough for comfortable wear. Plating is a surface rather than a bulk property, so how long it lasts depends almost entirely on what it is exposed to. Perfume, hairspray, sweat, soap and chlorinated water all shorten its life; a dry cloth after wearing and a closed pouch between wearings extend it considerably. Treated sensibly, the colour holds for a long time.
Put these on after perfume, hairspray and foundation. Wipe with a dry soft cloth after wearing and use a dry soft brush around the stone settings and through any fringe. Store them in a pouch rather than loose in a box, and never use toothpaste, bleach or an ultrasonic cleaner.
