A row of diamond-shaped pierced panels curves over the ear, anchored by a stone-set disc in the hair, with pearl chain swags falling between and a fluted jhumka at the lobe. Available in Grey, Green, Red, Baby Pink, Mint, Aqua, Black, Blue and Yellow.
Kashmiri ear cuffs almost always use scrolled filigree — soft curves, floral piercing, rounded outlines. Building the ear piece from repeated diamond panels instead gives a completely different character: sharper, more rhythmic, closer to lattice screenwork than to foliage. It is a small substitution that makes the piece look designed rather than merely traditional.
Each diamond panel is pierced with an open geometric cutout and linked to the next, so the row articulates and follows the curve of the ear rather than sitting as a rigid arc. The hair anchor is a stone-set disc. Pearl-strung chains swag below the panels in graduated lengths, and a fluted jhumka with a pearl fringe hangs at the lobe. Gold tone throughout.
Grey and Black suit the angular geometry best and read as the most modern. Red and Green are the traditional bridal choices. Baby Pink, Mint, Aqua, Blue and Yellow are the softer options. The colour appears in the anchoring stone.
Hair fully up with the ear exposed. The angular panels read best against plain fabric — a solid silk or a clean-cut outfit — where the repeated geometry is visible. Anchor the disc first, then lay the panel row along the ear, then settle the jhumka.
Weddings, receptions, sangeets and major festivals.
Comfortable for the style, because the hair anchor carries the weight and the linked panels flex to the shape of the ear rather than pressing against one point.
This piece is brass finished with a gold-tone plating rather than solid gold, which is what keeps the price where it is and the weight low enough for comfortable wear. Plating is a surface rather than a bulk property, so how long it lasts depends almost entirely on what it is exposed to. Perfume, hairspray, sweat, soap and chlorinated water all shorten its life; a dry cloth after wearing and a closed pouch between wearings extend it considerably. Treated sensibly, the colour holds for a long time.
Put these on after perfume, hairspray and foundation. Wipe with a dry soft cloth after wearing and use a dry soft brush around the stone settings and through any fringe or chain. Store them flat and on their own in a pouch so the chains do not tangle, and never use toothpaste, bleach or an ultrasonic cleaner.
