Two daisies with many narrow petals radiating from a small centre sit one above the other on a fine climbing pin. They are cut almost completely flat, with no doming at all.
Most flower motifs are cupped or domed to give them depth. Keeping these deliberately flat does something different: the daisy lies right against the ear, so the profile stays slim and the earring reads as a graphic outline rather than a modelled object. If you dislike jewellery that stands away from the head, this is the one in the family to choose.
Each daisy has many narrow petals of equal length cut cleanly from flat sheet, giving a crisp radial outline that stays legible at a small scale. The centre is a small raised dot, the only part of the flower with any height. The two daisies sit close together on the pin with a small gap between them. The pin is fine, straight and rounded at the tip.
The pin passes through your existing lobe piercing and then rises at an angle along the ear, so a single piercing produces the look of a climber. There is no cuff, no clip and no second fitting. Slide it through gently and let the upper end rest against the ear — the angle it settles at is what holds it. Nothing hangs below the lobe, so it cannot swing, tangle in hair or catch on a collar.
Hair up or tucked back. The flat profile means these sit happily under a dupatta, under a helmet strap, or against a pillow, which makes them one of the more practical pairs here. They suit everyday dressing of any kind. Wear as a pair.
Daily wear, office, college, travel and casual outings.
Among the most comfortable pieces in the collection. Flat, light, close to the ear, with nothing projecting and nothing hanging.
This piece is brass finished with a gold-tone plating rather than solid gold, which is what keeps the price where it is and the weight low enough for comfortable wear. Plating is a surface rather than a bulk property, so how long it lasts depends almost entirely on what it is exposed to. Perfume, hairspray, sweat, soap and chlorinated water all shorten its life; a dry cloth after wearing and a closed pouch between wearings extend it considerably.
Put these on after perfume, hairspray and foundation. Wipe with a dry soft cloth after wearing and use a dry soft brush over the textured motifs. Store them flat in a pouch so the pins stay straight, and never use toothpaste, bleach or an ultrasonic cleaner.
