A kundan floral stud at the top, and below it a crescent built around a large carved stone, framed in kundan and finished with a dense double row of small pearls. Available in Peach, Green, Mint, Blue, Baby Pink, Yellow and Grey.
Most chandbalis fill the crescent with many small stones. Placing one large carved stone at the centre instead changes the balance completely: there is a single clear focal point, and the kundan around it becomes a frame rather than the subject. The carving — a floral relief cut into the surface — catches shadow as well as light, which gives the stone depth that a flat polished cabochon would not have.
The top is a small kundan flower with a coloured stone at its heart, sized to keep the attachment point neat. The crescent below is edged in kundan on both the inner and outer curve, with the carved stone seated in the middle. The pearl fringe is doubled — two staggered rows rather than one — which is what gives the lower edge its weight and fullness, and the pearls are small enough that the fringe reads as a soft band rather than as individual drops. Warm gold finish throughout.
The colour refers to the carved centre stone and the accents. Green, Red-adjacent tones and Peach are the traditional festive choices; Grey and Blue are quieter and more modern; Mint, Baby Pink and Yellow suit daytime and pastel dressing. The gold framework stays the same across all of them.
Hair back, neck bare or a thin chain only. These suit silk, tissue and brocade, and they are a particularly good choice for a wedding guest who wants something clearly traditional without going to full bridal scale. Match the stone colour to a secondary colour in the outfit rather than the dominant one.
Weddings, receptions, sangeets and festival evenings.
Mid-weight. The crescent is open and the pearls are small, so these sit more comfortably than the lotus-top design, though they are still a substantial earring rather than an everyday one.
Meenakari enamel is harder than it looks but chips on impact, so store the pair in a pouch rather than loose in a box with metal jewellery. Put them on after perfume, hairspray and foundation, wipe with a dry soft cloth after wearing, and use a dry soft brush around the stone settings. Never use toothpaste, bleach or an ultrasonic cleaner — all three attack enamel and loosen kundan settings.
