A large smooth teardrop stone sits inside an openwork silver frame built from flowers and scrolls, and below it hangs a compact engraved jhumka edged with small white pearls.

The frame is doing something clever. Rather than enclosing the stone tightly, it opens out on both sides into scrolls and small flowers, so the stone appears to sit inside a little silver garden rather than in a plain bezel.
