A narrow textured bar hangs from the lobe and passes down through an open circle of fine wire, with a single oval stone set at the point where the two meet at the bottom. Available in Aqua, Mint, Grey, Black, Yellow, Baby Pink, Green and Blue.
The composition is two shapes that intersect rather than stack. Because the bar passes in front of the circle instead of hanging above it, the earring has visible depth — there is a front plane and a back plane — which is unusual in flat jewellery and is what stops it reading as a simple pendant on a stick. The stone at the junction marks where the two shapes cross.
The bar is finished with a fine granular texture so it stays matte and quiet. The circle is smooth round wire, polished, which makes it read as the brighter of the two elements despite being thinner. The stone is an oval cabochon in a plain bezel, set at the base of the bar so it sits inside the lower curve of the circle. Everything is rigid; nothing swings independently.
Black and Grey are the most modern and the most versatile. Green and Yellow are the warmest. Aqua, Mint, Baby Pink and Blue are the soft options. The stone is small, so the colour reads as an accent rather than dominating.
Modern clothing and plain backgrounds, where the geometry is legible. Shirts, plain dresses, co-ord sets and solid-colour kurtas all work. These are too spare for heavy traditional dressing. Hair up or down — the silhouette is compact enough either way.

This piece is brass finished with a gold-tone plating rather than solid gold, which is what keeps the price where it is and the weight low enough for comfortable wear. Plating is a surface rather than a bulk property, so how long it lasts depends almost entirely on what it is exposed to. Perfume, hairspray, sweat, soap and chlorinated water all shorten its life; a dry cloth after wearing and a closed pouch between wearings extend it considerably. Treated sensibly, the colour holds for a long time.
Put these on after perfume, hairspray and foundation. Wipe with a dry soft cloth after wearing and use a dry soft brush around the stone settings. Store them in a pouch rather than loose in a box, and never use toothpaste, bleach or an ultrasonic cleaner.
