A broad crescent packed with clear kundan, bordered in deep green stones, with a single large amber coloured stone set at the centre. Below hangs a deep fringe of white pearls interleaved with faceted green beads.
Available in Green — the green bordered version shown, with the amber centre stone.
Amber against green is an old and slightly unexpected pairing. Both are warm-leaning colours and neither is the obvious bridal red, so the combination reads as antique rather than festive, which suits the granulated gold and the traditional crescent shape.
The centre stone is genuinely large — wide enough to be the clear focal point — and setting it alone rather than in a cluster gives it room to work.
Unusually deep, running almost a third of the earring's height, with pearls and green beads interleaved rather than separated into bands. Mixing them in one row gives a softer, more irregular edge than a neat double layer would.
Clear kundan across the body in close rows, each stone in a raised gold bed. The green border traces the outer curve and gives the shape a defined edge against the fringe below.
Post fitting. Full bridal scale, with the openwork frame keeping the weight reasonable for the size. Best suited to an evening ceremony.
Heavy silks in mustard, rust, cream or deep green, where the amber and green can both read. They are less suited to a strong pink or red outfit, which would fight the warm centre stone. Hair up, short necklace or none.
Two coloured stones in one piece succeed when they share a temperature. Amber and green here are both warm, so they sit together comfortably even though they are far apart on the colour wheel. The same green against a cool pink or a blue-toned red would look accidental. It is a useful check when buying any multi stone piece: hold it in daylight and see whether the colours feel like they belong to the same family, regardless of how different they are.
A practical note on the fringe depth. A fringe running a third of the earring's height changes how the piece sits when you are seated rather than standing, because it rests against the neck instead of hanging free. It is worth trying a deep fringe pair on and sitting down before a long function, simply so there are no surprises three hours in.
Store them in their own pouch so the fringe cannot tangle. Put them on after perfume and hairspray, and keep them away from water.
