The mukut and haar get bought first, the poshak follows, and the hands stay bare for months because matching bangles at the right size are genuinely hard to find. This is a royal American Diamond bangle set for Radha Krishna idols in the fifteen to eighteen inch range.
At this idol size the wrists are large enough to carry real ornament, and the set is built accordingly. The bands are broad rather than thread-thin, with the stone field running the full circumference so the work reads from every angle as the idol is turned. A bangle that is only decorated on its outer face looks finished from the front and bare from the side, which is exactly the angle most home mandirs are actually viewed from.
The royal touch here is in the layering. The outer edges carry a raised border that frames the central stone field, giving the band a defined profile instead of a flat surface. It is a small amount of extra work that changes how the bangle catches lamp light, turning a single flash into a defined line along the wrist.
Fifteen to eighteen inch is the idol height, measured base to head, not the bangle diameter. If your Radha Krishna pair falls below fifteen inches these will slide, and above eighteen they will not pass over the hand. Measuring the idol before ordering takes a moment and saves a return.
Work them over the hand gently and never force them, since forcing is what cracks the join on any deity bangle. If the poshak has fitted sleeves, dress the idol first and put the bangles on last, otherwise the sleeve has to be worked over the bangle and both suffer.
Store the set together in a pouch rather than loose, where they knock against heavier pieces and chip the stone edges. Dry cotton cloth only. Keep attar, loose kumkum and damp away from the settings, and never use polish liquid on AD work.
