A slim gold-tone bangle with small round green beads hanging from it on short links, so the drops swing as the wrist moves.
Hanging drops do something a flat bangle cannot. A static band only catches the light when the light moves; drops catch it whenever the wearer does, which is why fringes and danglers turn up on so much Indian jewellery, from jhumkas to anklets.
Keeping the band itself plain is the right decision. With movement and colour already happening at the drops, a patterned band would be one idea too many, and the contrast between the quiet curve and the busy beads is most of the charm.
The green beads are glass rather than any gemstone. Glass is what gives them that even, slightly deep colour, and it is also why a piece with this much visual interest costs what it does.
What makes a piece anti-tarnish is a clear protective coat over the plated brass. Brass tarnishes because its copper content reacts with air; put a sealed barrier between the two and the reaction slows to a crawl. That is the entire mechanism. It buys you a great deal of time, and it rewards being kept dry — water finding its way under a chipped coat does more damage than no coat at all.
Brass is the right body for a piece at this price. It has enough weight to feel like jewellery rather than a toy, it takes a plating evenly, and it does not go brittle with age the way some cheap alloys do.
Treat the finish as the part that wears. Dress first and put this on last, take it off before water, and give it a wipe with a dry cotton cloth afterwards. A zip pouch with the air squeezed out is genuinely the best storage, because it keeps humid air off the metal. No polishes, no dips, no ultrasonic cleaners.
As a gift it is low-risk: no sizing to get wrong, no sharp edges, and a finish that survives ordinary handling. It arrives in a box ready to give.
What you see photographed is what ships. Colour on a screen is never exact — golds in particular look warmer on some phones than others — so treat the photo as close rather than perfect.
A word on what this is and is not. It is not precious metal, it carries no hallmark and it has no resale value. What it has is design and finish at a price that lets you match a piece to one outfit and not think twice about it, which is a perfectly good reason to buy jewellery.
Sizing is the usual worry with anything that goes on a wrist, and it is less of one here: this is a standard adult fit, and a hinged or clasped piece goes on without having to be forced past the widest part of the hand.
