These pearl wrapped bangles come as a set of two and add just enough colour to lift a plain pearl design. Small white pearls are wound closely around a gold band, and at intervals a single square stone in red, green or orange interrupts the run, each one held in a small raised gold claw. The colours are spaced far enough apart to read as accents rather than a pattern, which is what keeps the bangles looking soft rather than busy.
The pearls are strung in rows around a solid gold band, and unlike a fully beaded bangle you can see that band at the inner edge, which gives the piece more structure and a little weight. The coloured stones are square and flat-topped, set on end in fine claws so they sit slightly above the pearl surface and catch light on their own. Their colours do not repeat in a fixed order, so the two bangles are not identical around their whole length, and the red, green and orange together give the pair the traditional festive palette without committing to one shade.
The scattered red and green make these easy to pair with traditional festive colours without having to match exactly. They look best against a plain silk or cotton saree, or a solid kurta, where the pearls read as a soft band and the stones pick out the outfit. Wear the two together and keep other jewellery modest; pearls lose their effect beside heavy stonework.
Festivals and daytime functions, mehendi and haldi ceremonies, pujas, family gatherings, and gifting to someone who likes pearls but finds them too plain on their own.
This design is made in sizes 2.4 and 2.6. Indian bangle sizes count upward, so a 2.4 is a smaller fit than a 2.6 and a 2.8 is larger again, with 2.6 the size most women take. These slip on over the hand rather than opening on a hinge or a screw, so choosing correctly matters more here than it would on an adjustable bangle.
The reliable way to find your size is to take a bangle that already fits you, measure straight across the inside from edge to edge, and match that against a bangle size chart. If you do not own one, bring your thumb across to the base of your little finger as though you were slipping a bangle on, wrap a strip of paper snugly around the widest part of that shape, mark where it overlaps and measure it flat. If you fall between two sizes take the larger one: a bangle that will not pass the hand cannot be worn at all, while a slightly loose one still sits well. Send us your measurement on WhatsApp and we will confirm the size before the order is taken.
Keep the pair away from water, perfume, hair spray and sanitiser, all of which dull pearls permanently. The raised stones can catch on loose knits, so put the bangles on after dressing, wipe them with a dry soft cloth afterwards, and store them in a soft pouch.
