These oxidised bangles come as a set of two and combine pink and green stones against darkened silver, a warmer pairing than the usual clear-on-silver. Pink ovals are grouped into flowers with a green stone at each centre, and between those clusters the silver is worked into dense curling scrollwork with granulated edges. It is a traditional South Indian colour scheme rendered in oxidised silver rather than gold.
Each flower is five pink ovals set around a small green round stone, and the ovals are cut with a slight dome so they catch light individually rather than reading as one pink mass. Between the flowers, the bangle narrows into a waisted section filled with tight silver spirals and beaded lines, and at the widest points a long leaf shape is stamped into the metal and outlined with granules. Smaller green ovals punctuate the scrollwork at intervals. The oxidised finish is worked deep into the spirals, which is what keeps so much silver detail from looking flat, and the whole band is gently domed across its width.
Pink and green on oxidised silver suits traditional South Indian dressing particularly well, and it works with handloom cotton, kanjeevaram and raw silk alike. It is warm enough to wear against cream, gold and mustard, and it holds up beside a green or maroon outfit rather than disappearing. Wear both on one wrist and keep other jewellery oxidised rather than gold.
Weddings and receptions, festivals, temple occasions, family functions, and gifting to someone who wears oxidised silver for dressy occasions rather than only casually.
This design is made in sizes 2.4, 2.6 and 2.8. Indian bangle sizes count upward, so a 2.4 is a smaller fit than a 2.6 and a 2.8 is larger again, with 2.6 the size most women take. These slip on over the hand rather than opening on a hinge or a screw, so choosing correctly matters more here than it would on an adjustable bangle.
The reliable way to find your size is to take a bangle that already fits you, measure straight across the inside from edge to edge, and match that against a bangle size chart. If you do not own one, bring your thumb across to the base of your little finger as though you were slipping a bangle on, wrap a strip of paper snugly around the widest part of that shape, mark where it overlaps and measure it flat. If you fall between two sizes take the larger one: a bangle that will not pass the hand cannot be worn at all, while a slightly loose one still sits well. Send us your measurement on WhatsApp and we will confirm the size before the order is taken.
Dense scrollwork holds dust that a cloth cannot reach, so clean with a dry soft brush. Never use metal polish: it strips the oxidised darkening from the spirals, which is exactly what makes the pattern visible. Keep the pair away from water, perfume and sanitiser and store them in a soft pouch.
