These kundan oval and stone row bangles come as a set of two and are built in three bands. Down the middle runs a row of oval kundan look stones set lengthways; above and below, two rows of small round clear stones frame them. The layering is what gives the bangle its richness, and because all the stones are pale, the effect is bright rather than colourful.
The centre ovals are set nose to tail so they form a continuous line, each bedded in a gold collar in the kundan manner and polished flat so it glows rather than flashes. The framing rows are quite different: small round stones, faceted and set close together, running the full length on both sides like a beaded border. Between the bands the gold is left open in places, so the bangle is partly see-through when held up, which keeps a three-band design from feeling solid or heavy. A fine milled edge closes both sides.
A three-band bangle already has plenty going on, so keep the outfit plain and let the bangles carry the wrist. They suit silk and brocade for a wedding, and because every stone is pale they sit against any traditional colour. Wear both together; splitting them across two wrists loses the effect of the bands running side by side.
Weddings and receptions, sangeet and engagement functions, Diwali and Karwa Chauth, and gifting to a bride.
This design is made in sizes 2.4 and 2.8. Indian bangle sizes count upward, so a 2.4 is a smaller fit than a 2.6 and a 2.8 is larger again, with 2.6 the size most women take. These slip on over the hand rather than opening on a hinge or a screw, so choosing correctly matters more here than it would on an adjustable bangle.
The reliable way to find your size is to take a bangle that already fits you, measure straight across the inside from edge to edge, and match that against a bangle size chart. If you do not own one, bring your thumb across to the base of your little finger as though you were slipping a bangle on, wrap a strip of paper snugly around the widest part of that shape, mark where it overlaps and measure it flat. If you fall between two sizes take the larger one: a bangle that will not pass the hand cannot be worn at all, while a slightly loose one still sits well. Send us your measurement on WhatsApp and we will confirm the size before the order is taken.
Dust settles in the open gold between the bands, so clean with a dry soft brush rather than a cloth. Do not soak the bangles, since water behind a flat-set kundan stone is very hard to dry out. Keep them away from perfume and sanitiser and store the pair in a soft pouch.
