This gold kada is sold as a single piece and is the smallest and least expensive thing in the range. A fine gold wire opens at the front, and at each end sits a cluster of three leaf shaped stones, two green and one red, mounted above a short section of coiled gold wire. There is nothing else to it. For a first piece of gold jewellery, or something to wear every day without thinking about it, that simplicity is exactly the appeal.
Each stone is cut as a pointed leaf and set in a plain gold collar shaped to follow it, and the three are arranged so they fan outward from the shank like a sprig. Red and green together is the most traditional stone pairing in Indian jewellery, used here at a scale small enough that it reads as a detail rather than a statement. Behind each cluster, the wire is wrapped in a tight coil of finer gold, which both hides the join and gives the eye somewhere to stop. The band itself is plain, round and slim, tapering very slightly towards the opening so the two clusters sit level when worn.
A slim gold kada with a little colour goes with almost everything, which is why it suits daily wear better than any other piece here. Wear it alone for a quiet look, or stack it with plain gold bangles. The red and green keep it traditional enough for a festival while the plain band keeps it simple enough for work, which is an unusual combination at this price.
Everyday and office wear, college, daytime functions, small festivals, and gifting where you want to give real jewellery on a small budget.
This design is adjustable rather than fixed: it opens on a screw so the same piece fits a range of wrists, which is why no size needs to be chosen at checkout. Open it only as far as the hand needs and close it gently, because repeatedly forcing an adjustable bangle wider is what eventually weakens the joint.
If you are unsure whether it will suit a particularly slim or broad wrist, ask us on WhatsApp before ordering and we will check the opening range for you.
The shank is fine, so open the kada only as far as your hand needs: springing a thin wire wide repeatedly is what eventually fatigues it, and on a plated piece it also cracks the gold at the bend. Wipe it with a dry soft cloth after wearing and keep it away from water, perfume and sanitiser.
