These baguette stone bangles come as a set of two and take the simplest possible approach: one row of rectangular stones, each in its own square gold frame, repeating the whole way around. There is no halo, no second row and no flower motif. The interest comes entirely from the rhythm of stone, frame, stone, frame, and from the way a rectangular cut catches light differently from a round one.
A baguette is a long rectangular cut with a flat top and stepped sides, and it reflects light in broad flashes rather than the scattered sparkle of a brilliant cut. Here each stone is set upright across the width of the bangle so the flashes run in the same direction as your wrist, and each sits in a square frame edged with fine gold beading. The frames touch one another, so the row reads as a continuous chain with no gaps. The stones are pale and very slightly warm rather than icy white, which keeps the bangle looking like traditional gold jewellery rather than a modern crystal piece.
A single-row bangle is the most versatile shape you can own, because it does not compete with anything. Wear the pair together, stack them with plain gold bangles, or put one either side of a wide kada. The warm pale stones sit well against red, maroon, gold and ivory, and because the design is geometric rather than floral it also works with a plain modern outfit where a flower motif would look out of place.
Weddings and receptions, engagement functions, festive occasions, and gifting to someone who prefers clean geometric jewellery to ornate work.
This design is made in size 2.10. Indian bangle sizes count upward, so a 2.4 is a smaller fit than a 2.6 and a 2.8 is larger again, with 2.6 the size most women take. These slip on over the hand rather than opening on a hinge or a screw, so choosing correctly matters more here than it would on an adjustable bangle.
The reliable way to find your size is to take a bangle that already fits you, measure straight across the inside from edge to edge, and match that against a bangle size chart. If you do not own one, bring your thumb across to the base of your little finger as though you were slipping a bangle on, wrap a strip of paper snugly around the widest part of that shape, mark where it overlaps and measure it flat. If you fall between two sizes take the larger one: a bangle that will not pass the hand cannot be worn at all, while a slightly loose one still sits well. Send us your measurement on WhatsApp and we will confirm the size before the order is taken.
Flat-topped stones show smears more than faceted ones, so wipe them with a dry soft cloth after wearing to keep them clear. Avoid water, which sits behind a flat-set stone and clouds it as it dries, and keep the pair away from perfume and sanitiser. Store them in a soft pouch.
