Five petal flowers run down both sides, alternating between coloured stones and clear ones, each with a contrasting stone at its centre so no two neighbouring flowers match. They meet at a pendant built around a large faceted teardrop, framed by curling silver leaves and a spray of smaller flowers, with pearl clusters hanging along the lower edge. The matching earrings repeat the teardrop under a flower crown.
Available in 8 colours: Baby Pink, Sea Green, Ruby, Red, Green, Blue, White and Multi Color. The colour refers to the stones.
Alternating coloured and clear flowers down the chain is what gives the necklace its shimmer. The clear ones read as light and the coloured ones as colour, so the line alternates between the two rather than presenting a solid band of either.
Reversing the centre stone in each flower — a clear centre in a coloured flower and the opposite in a clear one — is the small refinement that ties the two kinds together instead of leaving them as separate alternating units.
A large faceted teardrop set point down, wrapped in silver leaves that curl up around its sides. The leaves do the work of a frame without enclosing the stone.
Hung at four points along the lower edge rather than continuously, so the fringe is a series of soft weights rather than a curtain.
The pendant sits just below the collarbone, with an extender chain at the back. Moderate weight, and every flower hinges so the row curves with the neck.
Plain solid cotton, handloom and simple silk. Blue and ruby read as formal, baby pink and sea green as soft and daytime.
A necklace made entirely of coloured stones reads as one block of colour from a distance, and one made entirely of clear stones can look flat against dark metal. Alternating the two solves both problems at once: the clear stones create the sparkle that dark silver otherwise absorbs, while the coloured ones give the piece an identity and something to match to an outfit. The proportion matters — roughly equal numbers, as here, keeps both effects visible, while a few coloured accents among many clear stones reads as clear jewellery with highlights rather than as a two colour design.
Never use a silver dip, which strips the oxidised finish. Wipe with a dry soft cloth and store flat so the pearl clusters are not crushed.
