The sides alternate two elements: a large square stone in a beaded silver frame, then a five petal flower whose petals are themselves stones in a contrasting colour with a clear centre. They run the length of both sides in red, green, yellow and blue, meeting at a pendant where two elephants stand facing each other above a large emerald cut stone, with a spray of coloured teardrops above and a pearl fringe below. The matching earrings are deep pierced jhumkas beneath stone set tops.
Available in 4 colours: Sea Green, Red, White and Baby Pink. The colour refers to the large pendant stone.
The chain carries more colour than most pendants do. Large squares in four different shades alternating with flowers in four more means the sides are as much the design as the pendant is, which is rare at this length.
Alternating a hard geometric square with a soft rounded flower gives the row a strong rhythm — two shapes, two scales, repeating all the way down.
A large emerald cut stone framed by silver, with two elephants standing above it facing each other across the top. The stone is plain and the frame is plain; all the detail is in the figures.
Five stone petals with a clear stone at the centre, in a different colour from the square above and below it, so no two adjacent elements share a shade.
Long, with the pendant at mid chest. Substantial, since the chain carries large stones along its whole length, and better suited to a function than a full day.
Plain solid fabrics only. With this much colour in the piece a printed outfit will fight it, and a single solid shade lets the whole row read.
In most necklaces the chain is a way of getting to the pendant, and its job is to stay quiet. A piece like this inverts that: the sides are as detailed and as colourful as the centre, so the necklace reads as a continuous band rather than as a pendant with support. The practical consequence is that it needs a plain outfit and an uncluttered neckline more than a pendant design would, because there is no quiet section anywhere in it. The advantage is that it looks complete from every angle, including in profile, where a pendant necklace shows only a plain chain.
Never use a silver dip, which strips the oxidised finish. Wipe with a dry soft cloth and store flat.
