A single smooth oval stone, domed and unfaceted, set in a plain silver bezel edged with a twisted rope border, hanging from a fine snake chain. The matching earrings are the same stone at a smaller size on French hooks. There is nothing else to the design.
Available in 8 colours: Turquoise, Red, Purple, Green, Blue, Baby Pink, Black and Sky Blue. The colour refers to the stone.
This is the piece that gets worn on ordinary days. It is light, it does not catch on clothing, the chain is fine enough to disappear, and it needs no thought — which is exactly what most elaborate jewellery cannot offer.
Eight colours means it can be bought for a specific outfit or a specific mood rather than as a compromise. At this scale a strong colour reads as a deliberate accent rather than a statement.
Domed and polished rather than faceted, so it shows a soft sheen and its colour reads as solid. Faceted stones sparkle but look restless at this size; a cabochon stays calm.
A twisted silver border around the stone, the only decoration on the piece. It separates the stone from the chain and gives an otherwise plain setting a handmade edge.
The pendant sits just below the collarbone on a fine chain. Almost weightless, and it lies flat under a collar or a dupatta.
Everything — kurtas, shirts, dresses, sarees. It layers well under or over a longer chain, and it works at an office as easily as at a family lunch.
Most people build a collection from the top: one heavy bridal set, then a festive set, and then find they have nothing to wear on a Tuesday. The more useful order is the reverse. A few light everyday pieces in different colours cover the two hundred ordinary days a year, and they cost less together than one ceremonial set. They also do something the heavy pieces cannot, which is to become part of how you look rather than an event. Once that layer exists, an occasional statement piece has something to sit above instead of being the whole collection.
Put it on after perfume, take it off before swimming or bathing, and wipe with a dry soft cloth.
Worn against bare skin a pendant reads as jewellery; worn over a kurta it reads as part of the outfit. Both work, but the second usually wants a slightly larger piece, because fabric flattens the shadows that give a small pendant its definition.
Nothing here is hallmarked and none of it carries resale value, and both facts are stated plainly rather than buried. What you are buying is the design and the finish at a price that lets you match a piece to one outfit without weighing up the cost.
