Two rows of ribbed silver beads run from an S hook to a pendant stacked in three parts. At the top, a rectangular plaque of pierced flowers studded with small multicoloured stones and crowned with a large faceted teardrop; below it, a horizontal barrel with pointed caps and a scrolled surface; and below that, a hexagonal panel of open filigree with a flower at its centre and three small stones at its base. The matching earrings pair a teardrop stone with the same hexagonal panel.
Available in 6 colours: Black, Sea Green, Baby Pink, Green, Blue and White. The colour refers to the large teardrop stone.
Three stacked parts, each in a different geometry — rectangle, cylinder, hexagon — give the pendant a vertical fall and a deliberate sense of construction. Nothing repeats, so the eye travels down through it.
The barrel in the middle is the piece that makes it work. Without a horizontal element between the two flat panels, the stack would read as two plaques hung one above the other; the cylinder breaks the run and gives the pendant depth.
Open silver wire work with a flower at the centre, so the lowest and largest element is also the lightest and the one that shows fabric through it.
Two parallel rows of ribbed beads rather than one, which gives the chain width to match a substantial pendant. A single row would have looked thin beneath it.
Long, with the pendant at mid chest. The two bead rows spread the weight and lie flat against the body.
Plain cotton, handloom and simple silk. It hangs low enough for closed necklines and high collars.
The most common mistake in a long necklace is a chain too fine for the pendant it carries, which makes the pendant look like it was added to something else. A useful guide is visual width rather than strength: the chain should look like it could plausibly support the pendant, which usually means it needs to be about a fifth to a quarter as wide as the pendant's widest point. Doubling a fine chain, as here, is the cheapest way to achieve that without moving to heavy links — two thin rows read as one wide band while staying light and flexible.
Never use a silver dip, which strips the oxidised finish. Wipe with a dry soft cloth and store flat so the two rows do not twist.
