This is the fullest piece in the hasli range and the only one offered in more than one colour. The body is a thick bright-silver tube, divided along its length by ribbed gold-tone collars into eight or nine short sections, so the band reads as a row of segments rather than a single curve. Set into the gaps are small stones — round and heart-shaped, in two colours — and between them, hanging from the lower edge all the way round, are clusters of tiny white pearls alternating with larger faceted teardrop beads.
That fringe is what gives the piece its weight on the eye. The pearls sit in tight groups of three or four, so the lower edge is not a smooth line but a repeating scallop, and the teardrops hang below them and swing. From a distance the whole lower half of the necklace reads as texture and movement rather than as metal.
The three colourways change the piece more than you might expect:
Matching earrings come with the set in each colourway. They are tapered, wider at the base than at the top, built from the same silver-and-gold banding as the collar, with a stone at the centre and the same pearl clusters and faceted drops along the lower edge — a miniature of the necklace rather than a different idea.
The collar fastens with a black braided cord at the back which slides, so it adjusts from choker height down to the collarbone and fits over a high-necked blouse as easily as a bare neckline. The stones are paachi work: foil-backed and set into raised bezels, which is why they glow evenly rather than sparkling off facets.
Wear it with a plain neckline and keep the rest of the look quiet — this is a complete set and it does not need a second necklace or a heavy bangle stack beside it. Choose the colourway for what you own rather than what you like in isolation; the green is the safest with silk, the pink with pastels, the blue with anything plain and dark.
Base metal is brass with gold and silver tone platings.
Stock on each colour is very limited and they do not move at the same rate, so one shade is often available when another is not. That is the main reason this is listed for WhatsApp enquiry rather than direct checkout: send us a message with the colour you want and we will tell you what is actually in hand before you decide, rather than taking an order we cannot fill.
Dual-tone means two platings on one piece — a bright silver tone and a warm gold tone, applied to different parts of the same design so each section reads separately. It is harder than a single finish because the two have to be masked off from one another, and it is why these pieces show their detail so clearly: the eye separates the gold elements from the silver ones before it has read a single stone. The base metal underneath is brass, so this is plating rather than solid gold or silver.
Put this on after perfume, hairspray and hand cream, and take it off before washing, swimming or sleeping. Wipe with a dry soft cloth and use a dry soft brush around the stone settings and between any pearls, where a cloth cannot reach. Store it in a zip-lock pouch — which is what the supplier themselves advise, and the single most effective thing for a plated piece, because it keeps humid air off the metal. Never use silver polish, dip cleaners or an ultrasonic cleaner.
