A curved collar made of alternating kundan florets and fluted metal beads sits close at the throat, strung on adjustable black thread with a tassel. Silver and gold tones run along its length. It comes with matching earrings — kundan florets above small gold peacocks. One colourway, black and white.
The cord is part of the design, not a substitute for a clasp. Black thread against gold and silver is a deliberate contrast used throughout Rajasthani and Kutchi work — it reads as handmade rather than manufactured, it costs the piece no weight at the back of the neck, and because it ties rather than clasps it adjusts to any neck size. The tassel at the end is the traditional finish and sits down the back.
The collar alternates two units: a flat kundan-set floret and a ribbed metal bead. Alternating two shapes rather than repeating one gives the curve a rhythm the eye can follow around the neck, and it means the piece reads as a sequence rather than a solid band. Each floret is set in the kundan manner — stones cut flat and fitted to their compartments rather than dropped into collets.
The matching earrings put a small gold peacock beneath a kundan floret. Keeping the birds gold while the florets stay silver maintains the dual-tone logic of the necklace rather than treating the earrings as a separate design.
Black & White. This design is made in a single colourway. Availability is confirmed before payment.
A choker needs an open neckline — boat neck, deep V, or off the collarbone — and hair fully up, because the whole piece sits where a collar would. It suits cotton, silk, handloom and anything in black, white, ivory or indigo.
Festivals, weddings, daytime functions, mehendis and family gatherings.
Type: Choker necklace set. Metal: Brass. Finish: Dual tone, gold and silver plating. Stones: Paachi stones, kundan-set. Closure: Adjustable black thread with tassel. Includes: choker and matching earrings. One colourway.
Dual-tone means two platings on one piece — a bright silver tone and a warm gold tone, applied to different parts of the same design so each section reads separately. It is harder than a single finish because the two have to be masked off from one another, and it is why these pieces show their detail so clearly: the eye separates the gold elements from the silver ones before it has read a single stone. The base metal underneath is brass, so this is plating rather than solid gold or silver.
Put this on after perfume, hairspray and hand cream, and take it off before washing, swimming or sleeping. Wipe with a dry soft cloth and use a dry soft brush around the stone settings and between any pearls, where a cloth cannot reach. Store it in a zip-lock pouch — which is what the supplier themselves advise, and the single most effective thing for a plated piece, because it keeps humid air off the metal. Never use silver polish, dip cleaners or an ultrasonic cleaner.
